As 2024 draws to a close, we at the West Orange Dream Center reflect on the resilience and spirit of the East Winter Garden community. With your support, we’ve been able to serve those in need, providing vital resources to families, educational opportunities to youth, elder assistance, and a haven for everyone who seeks support. As we prepare for 2025, we invite you to join us in strengthening our mission.
You Help Us Meet Urgent Needs in Our Community
The West Orange Dream Center was created to be a bridge of hope for struggling individuals and families. Every dollar that is given helps strengthen this bridge and reaches those in our West Orange community who need a helping hand.
Here’s how contributions can directly support our critical needs:
- Helps cover supplies for our elementary children’s math program, senior activity supplies, and transportation needs.
- Helps cover one luncheon for our teens, seniors, or micro-classroom.
- Supports and expands our teen program. We are dreaming BIG for our teens by planning more college tours, STEM initiatives, and mentoring programs.
- Continuation of the virtual reality trade-skill training at WODC. This learning program delivers a self-paced training curriculum for trade occupations that allows anyone, anywhere, the ability to earn an entry-level certification. After completing the program, students can be hired by Promising People Placement, LLC to make a competitive wage working for a company that offers excellent growth potential and the opportunity for a paid apprenticeship.
- Helps cover rent at WODC, enabling fifteen + community support programs who utilize our facility to continue in the East Winter Garden Community.
From children’s reading to soft skills for the workplace, our programs are designed to help individuals build the skills they need to support themselves. We’re excited to announce a new partnership for Spring 2025 with Promising People, LLC. Together, we’ll offer their innovative program at our Winter Garden location, featuring virtual reality learning for high school diplomas, adult education, and trade school certifications.
Training will take place at West Orange Dream Center, 1136 E. Plant St. Winter Garden. The program is expected to launch in the Spring 2025.
Your Support in Action:
Through our programs, we’re not just meeting basic needs; we are creating pathways for individuals to build brighter futures. These programs are possible because of caring people like you.
Thank You for Believing in Our Mission
On behalf of the West Orange Dream Center team, thank you for being a cornerstone of our community. With your continued support, we are prepared to make 2025 even more impactful, ensuring that every child, family, and individual in the East Winter Garden can dream of a brighter tomorrow.
Together, we can continue to create lasting change in East Winter Garden and beyond.
With heartfelt gratitude,
