Have you ever noticed how we’re all looking for something?
We chase success, love, stability, experiences, purpose, and yet something inside still feels unfinished, like there’s a deeper meaning just out of reach. We may not talk about it, but we feel it.
That inner longing isn’t an accident. The Bible says you were made for a relationship with the One who created you.
“It is He who made us.” Psalm 100:3
According to Scripture, you are not here by chance. You are not a random collection of cells. You were created intentionally, by God and for God.
That means:
Your value is not something you earn.
Your identity is not something you have to manufacture.
Your meaning is not something you have to figure out alone.
But if this is true, then why does life often feel lonely, confusing, or empty?
The Bible explains it in a simple but honest way: We have all turned away from God, trying to build our lives on our own terms.
Not because we’re horrible people.
But because we all want to be in control of our own story.
“We all have turned every one to his own way.” — Isaiah 53:6
That turning away created a distance, not just a religious one, but a relational one.
It’s why we feel:
Unsettled
Unfulfilled
Restless
Like something is missing
The feeling of “there has to be more” is your soul remembering home. You were made for God, and without Him, something will always feel incomplete.
But here is the part many people don’t realize: God has not turned away from you. He has not given up on you. He has not walked away. He moves toward us.
That is what Christmas is actually about: God stepped into the world to bring us back to Himself.
Not to judge us.
Not to shame us.
But to rescue us.
He came close because He wants you close.
If you have ever felt that quiet pull toward something deeper, pay attention to it. You are being invited home.
