An added benefit of the Windermere Fair is that it exemplified the community's spirit of generosity by supporting two local nonprofits through proceeds from the event's dunk tank. The Lone Sailor Division received a $1,000 donation, while the Windermere Police Department Foundation was awarded $3,000 to further their missions.
The Lone Sailor Division, based in Windermere, mentors young leaders by instilling values of honor, respect, commitment, and service. This donation will help provide training and community service opportunities for local youth.

Established in the wake of the tragic loss of Officer Robert “Robbie” German on March 22, 2014, the Windermere Police Department Foundation aims to promote and benefit the citizens served by the Windermere Police Department, its employees, and their families. The foundation engages in various activities, including hosting community forums on safety and crime reduction, purchasing necessary tools and equipment for the department, organizing charitable events, and supporting local charities. Additionally, it provides services to help families of fallen law enforcement officers in the Central Florida region.
Robert Smith, President and Co-Founder of the Windermere Police Foundation, expressed gratitude for the community's support: “We’re very grateful for the generous support from the Town of Windermere through the Centennial Fair. These funds go a long way in helping us care for our officers and serve our community with excellence.”
These contributions reflect Windermere's commitment to nurturing its youth and ensuring public safety, highlighting the town's spirit of unity and benevolence.
