The Windermere Elementary School (WES) PTO teed off their first-ever golf tournament with sunshine, smiles, and an impressive show of community spirit. Held at the West Orange Country Club, the event brought together neighbors, families, and NBA legends for a day that was both meaningful and fun.
The sold-out tournament welcomed a full field of players who enjoyed breakfast, a round of golf, and lunch together, all while raising support and awareness for Windermere Elementary. A highlight of the event was a raffle where lucky foursomes had the chance to play alongside NBA stars Bo Outlaw, Vince Carter, Grant Hill, Quentin Richardson, and Courtney Lee. Their willingness to give back made a big impact, filling the day with excitement and inspiration.
Tim Leffler, who won the raffle to play with Quentin Richardson, shared, "Events like these remind us of the power of community coming together for a greater purpose.”
Natalie Mendez, Fundraising Chair for the PTO, echoed that sentiment: “It was a truly wonderful day to play, filled with great energy, beautiful weather, and a shared spirit of community and support. We’re so grateful they were able to join us.”
The PTO extended a special thanks to the Carter family for helping make the day possible and to West Orange Country Club for hosting the event with such care and professionalism.
From the first drive to the final putt, the tournament captured the heart of the Windermere community, coming together to support its kids, with a little star power and a whole lot of heart.
