If you’re paying for newspapers, magazines, audiobooks, or e-books, consider dropping those costly subscriptions. Your library card gives you free digital access to the Orlando Sentinel, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The New Yorker and dozens more newspapers and magazines at ocls.org. You can also enjoy endless e-books and audiobooks through Libby, hoopla and Freading.

Looking to sharpen your computer skills? This month, Windermere Branch hosts a series on Microsoft Word and Excel. And did you know your OCLS card gives you free access to LinkedIn Learning with dozens of professional certificate programs, continuing education credits and classes on nearly any business topic you can imagine? Explore all the value your library offers online at ocls.org.

Tales From the Farm at Windermere Branch

This month, Windermere Branch has new and exciting programs for both kids and adults. Be sure to check out Tales From the Farm, presented by the Central Florida Fair, at 10:30 a.m. on January 14. Families can enjoy themed stories, meet a farm animal, and receive a free student ticket to the fair—an experience everyone will enjoy. On January 31, adults can learn from interior designer Rebecca Hubler as she gives tips on how to transform your personal spaces using light, color and texture.

As we begin this new year at your library, we remain committed to finding innovative ways to increase the value you receive from your library. We look forward to all the ways we can support your learning, creativity and connection in the months ahead.
