Over these past months, we have followed one story.
The story of the God who made us. The God we turned away from. And the God who did not leave us to find our own way back.
He came to us in Jesus Christ. Jesus gave Himself for our sins and rose from the dead.
Scripture tells us why: “Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.” (1 Peter 3:18)
That He might bring us to God.
This is where the whole story has been leading.
Your life was not simply made for more success, more experiences, or even more purpose. You were made for God.
Maybe your life looks successful from the outside. Maybe it is falling apart. Maybe you carry things no one else knows. Maybe you have ignored God for most of your life. Maybe you are not even sure what you believe.
Whatever your story, the good news does not begin with what you must do for God. It begins with what God has done for us.
And now Scripture says: “We implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)
This is not an invitation to become more religious or to make yourself worthy of God. It is an invitation to come to God through Christ.
Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
Turn to God. Acknowledge your sin and your need for Him. Place your trust in Jesus Christ — in who He is and what He has done. Come honestly. Ask Him for mercy.
Entrust your life to the One who gave His life for you.
Scripture says: “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
And Jesus promises: “The one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” (John 6:37)
Maybe something has been stirring in you as you have read these messages. Maybe you have begun to see your need for God.
Do not wait until you understand everything. Do not wait until you have made yourself better. Come to Christ.
Through Him you can be forgiven. Reconciled. At peace with God. Made new. And brought into the life you were created for.
Life with God.
This is what Christ came to make possible. This is what you were made for. Your life was made for more. And that “more” is life with God through Jesus Christ.
Come to Christ. Be reconciled to God.
