Business Profile | By Savannah Tradd
At Big Sky Roofing, roofing is more than a trade—it’s a legacy. The company is proud to be family-owned and operated, established in Central Florida, with deep roots in the community it serves.
Hands-On Leadership: Owner Charles F. Gibson III brings over 25 years of experience in roofing, gutters, siding, and soffit & fascia. Charles is hands-on with every project from start to finish, ensuring each homeowner receives the highest level of workmanship and care.
Dedicated Office & Permitting Support: Behind the scenes, Michelle Gibson ensures every call is answered and every permit is handled with precision. With more than 30 years of family history in Windermere, she brings both expertise and a strong connection to the community.
Next-Generation Involvement: The Gibson children are also part of the company’s story. Their oldest son, Walker Gibson, contributes to Big Sky across sales, project management, and hands-on repairs. Their daughter, Laci, is a student-athlete at Warner University in Lake Wales, where she plays volleyball on scholarship. Their youngest son, Brody Cash, is entering his junior year of high school and enjoys baseball and beach volleyball, balancing school and athletics while watching the family business in action.
A True Family Business: Big Sky Roofing is built on the values of hard work, trust, and community. In addition to roofing, the Gibson family operates G5 Farms, where they raise Angus cattle and offer raw milk and farm-fresh eggs—a reflection of their values of honesty, quality, and community, which guides every roofing project.
Family Commitment: Big Sky Roofing is committed to delivering workmanship that lasts, supported by clear communication and dependable service. Each project is managed with attention to detail from start to finish, ensuring quality, accountability, and respect for the homeowner’s property. From roof replacements and repairs to seamless gutter systems and leaf guards, the team approaches every job with the same dedication that has defined their reputation in Central Florida.
