Community Event | By Jocklyn Mundy
There are traditions that come to define a place, and for a quarter century, the Run Among the Lakes has been one of Windermere's. Every October, runners lace up and set out along the shaded sand roads and lakeside stretches that make this town what it is. Some come to compete. Most come simply to be part of it.
This year marks the twenty-fifth running of that beloved tradition, and Neighbors of Windermere is honored to serve as an Associate Sponsor. For a magazine built on celebrating the people and places of this community, there is no better cause to stand behind. The race is more than a morning of miles. It is neighbors cheering neighbors, families lining the route, and a whole town gathered around the water it loves. It is Windermere at its finest.
We are grateful to the Town of Windermere and to everyone whose steady work over twenty-five years has kept this tradition alive and growing. It is a privilege and a joy to lend our name to it.
Whether you run, walk, volunteer, or simply come to soak in the morning, we hope to see you among the lakes.
