Making a Difference: Showing Up for Our Neighbors

Nurture Night 2026 Nurturing our Neighbors invitation from The Nurture Place, Saturday, September 19, Harry P. Leu Gardens

Some of the most important work in our community happens out of the spotlight, one family at a time. The Nurture Place has been doing that work since 2019, bringing trauma-informed counseling and family support to children and parents across Central Florida from its house in Winter Garden. Therapy, school-based Nurture Groups, support for foster and adoptive families, a Spanish-language family support group, and care for youth aging out of the system. All of it offered with scholarships and low-cost options, so that healing is never out of reach.

Once a year, the community gathers to celebrate that mission at Nurture Night, the organization’s signature fundraising gala. It is an evening of connection and generosity, where every dollar raised returns to the families who need it most.

This year’s celebration carries the theme “Nurturing Our Neighbors,” and the name says it all. It is a chance for our Windermere neighbors to show up for their wider Central Florida neighbors, the way good neighbors always do. The details are in the save-the-date, go to thenurtureplace.org/nurture-night-2026 for tickets and sponsorship details.
