Community Event | By Jocklyn Mundy
As the Town of Windermere proudly marks its 100th anniversary in 2025, residents and supporters have a unique opportunity to be part of the celebration in a meaningful, lasting way. The Legacy Bench Program invites individuals, families, and organizations to sponsor elegant, durable metal benches placed throughout Windermere’s scenic parks and public spaces.
Each bench includes a personalized commemorative plaque, creating a heartfelt tribute to loved ones, cherished memories, or community pride. More than just a place to rest, these benches represent Windermere’s values—beauty, reflection, and togetherness.
The initiative also supports the town’s ongoing efforts to replace aging benches, ensuring that the outdoor experience remains safe, inviting, and visually appealing for generations to come. It's a chance to literally leave your mark on Windermere while contributing to its enduring charm.
Whether you're honoring a family member, celebrating a milestone, or simply investing in the community you love, the Legacy Bench Program is a meaningful way to give back.
For more information and to sponsor a bench, visit the Town of Windermere’s official website at town.windermere.fl.us.
Let’s build a more beautiful Windermere — one bench at a time.
